The EIIP Virtual Forum featured Warren J. Vaughn, Deputy Director, Dickson County Tennessee EMA and Shift Supervisor for Dickson County EMS to share information emergency medical services. Libbi Rucker-Reed graciously served as the Guest Moderator for the session.

Warren gave a basic overview of EMT and EMS services in the State of Tennessee stressing the levels of training provided through the two- and four- year colleges. He also pointed out that most emergency medical services in the state are now paid professionals and there needs to be more coordination between EMS and other emergency service providers for joint training, planning and exercising.

Warren J. Vaughn, Deputy Director, Dickson Co. EMA. Working as a Licensed EMT since 1982 with current level of EMS training -EMT IV. Shift Supervisor for Dickson Co. EMS since about 1990. One of the first six earning the TN Certified Emergency Management Professional designation. Instructor in numerous EMS, EMA, Hazardous Materials courses, as well as a NBC/Terrorism instructor.

Libbi Rucker-Reed, Assistant Director, Rutherford Co. EMA from 1993 - 2000. Licensed as an EMT Basic since 1991. Instructor in numerous EMA, Hazardous Materials and Rescue courses as well as a NBC/Terrorism instructor. One of the first six earning the TN Certified Emergency Management Professional designation. Currently working for an Internet Service Provider and developing websites for small businesses.
